I am passionate, hard-working, honest, and reliable. I dedicate my time and care to any task I am given, and I always treat others around me with kindness and respect. I also work well on my own, and I take the initiative to complete any task I notice left incomplete. From my past work experience, I understand the busy lifestyle parents must manage, and I try my best to be helpful in any way I can.
Childcare experiences
I am a 24 year old Canadian citizen with many years experience with children of all ages and social backgrounds. From the age of 15 I worked as a summer camp counsellor in a rural setting with inner-city kids, including those with disabilities. In high school I volunteered as a teaching assistant in primary aged (7-9 yrs old) classrooms for 2 years, as well as in church youth groups and my local hospital.
School / Academic qualifications
I have always had the desire to work in a childcare environment, and find it rewarding to see a young mind develop and grow with encouragement and praise. I am currently completing online learning courses to become a child social worker.
Special talents
I am just finishing my last 2 weeks in the south of Spain, teaching English and assisting with horseback riding lessons. Horses are my other passion in life, as I've grown up in a equestrian family and was put on a pony before I could walk.
How I spend my leisure time
I am very active, and in my spare time enjoy horseback riding, hiking, swimming, and biking.
