Details of the au pair's room

You will have a room on the garden floor, which is the "kids" floor, and you will share the bathroom with the children. We will provide you with a TV and we have an old PC that you are welcome to have in your bedroom with free internet access.

The au pair's typical daily schedule

Wake up about 7h30-8h twice a week to care for baby until about 2 pm. You will help Tristan (14) with his homework once or twice per week. You will be asked to vacuum the house twice a week and clean the house once a week. You will be asked to cook a simple meal twice a week. We would appreciate if you could walk the dog sometimes. You shouldn't be asked to do any evening babysitting. You will be free on week-ends.

Extras offered to au pair

We will pay for your language classes and will reimburse your travel ticket if you stay one year.

Personal note to au pair

Hello! We are a Swiss/Australian family living in a lovely village by the lake of Geneva. Philip is a consultant and works from London so he' away during the week. Catherine works, part-time, two days/we. Tristan, 14, goes to an English School. He doesn't need an au pair anymore, but should be happy to have some help with his homework and maybe play some sports or have company to walk the dog. Our daughter, Joanna, 19, has a 1 yo baby girl and lives with us. She works part-time and studies.

Comments

Our main concern is Scarlett, who has cystic fibrosis. She's very well at the moment and she's a very happy baby, but we need somebody mature and with experience who we can trust to be left alone with her while we work (2 days/we a few hours). It also means that the house has to be very clean, which can be difficult with the animals. But you will have a lot of free time and we can be pretty flexible if you want to take a few long week-end to travel around Europe. Looking forward to meet you!
