Description of the home
We live in Alton, Hampshire - a small town in the south of the UK, close to beautiful countryside with lots of lovely walks. The town is nearby, which has shops, bars, restaurants and the language school is a short walk away. London is just over an hour by train. We live two minutes away from the leisure centre, where you can swim, join the gym or go to fitness classes.Our house is five years old and equipped with modern conveniences and is situated in a very friendly neighbourhood.

Details of the au pair's room
Own double room with desk, wardrobe, drawers, wireless internet, hifi, TV/DVD. Shared bathroom (with child)
The au pair's typical daily schedule
07:30 - 10:30 Getting child ready for school, breakfast, school run, clearing away breakfast. A few light chores e.g. dusting, vacuuming, keeping bathroom clean, dog walking.
10:30 -17:00 Free time
17:00 - 19:00 School run, prepare evening meal for child and self, supervise play and homework. Light chores
Occaisional baby sitting, sometimes on a weekend, maybe two nights a week, but not every week. Weekends off, unless by agreement.

Personal note to au pair
We are looking for someone who is energetic, self-motivated, patient but most of all smiley and who loves kids to come and join our family for at least a year and hopefully longer who will help with the household and wants to experience a new culture. We are a family of two, dad – Graeme, and Oliver my son, plus our dog, Taffi. I am a single parent and full time working dad. I have a partner although we do not live together.

Oliver is a big boy for his age and is fairly independent. He is looking forward to having someone like a “big sister” around to help out whilst dad is at work. We have a good network of friends in the area who would be willing to help you to settle in and make friends so that you feel at home. We love being outdoors and do lots of walks and cycling and we go camping regularly. We often meet up with my partner and her family to do activities together. We can be quite noisy, but really enjo
