Most countries in the EU have their own Au Pair programme which is based on the European Agreement on Au Pair Placement. The visa regulations vary from country to country, but generally Au Pairs coming from an EU country will not require a visa to enter another EU country. Nationals from certain non-EU countries can usually Au Pair with no visa if their stay does not exceed 90 days. Work and resident permits are only required in certain countries.
